School's out, Spring has sprung, and the heat and humidity have arrived. But don't despair, you and your human can still have fun in the summer. Follow my tips listed below and you are well on your way to a safe, fun-filled summer break with you humans.

Summertime Safety TIps a la Catnip:

**Wake your human early to beat the mid-day heat.

**Drink Plenty of water while outside playing in the sun.

**Find plenty of shady spots to take naps in.

**Bug your human to let you inside on those extremely (85 Degrees F or above) hot days to enjoy the a/c.

**Humans- Please do not leave us in a hot car. We suffer from heatstroke just like you. If you cannot leave us at home, drop us off at a doggy/kitty daycare or at the vet (yes I said VET) for day boarding. We would greatly appreciate it.

**Cannot say it enough, Drink plenty of water.

**For us snubbed nose pets, we would appreciate cool houses for us kitties, and for the doggies- walk them in the early morning hours or evening hours at dusk. With our shortened noses, it is very hard for us to keep cool in the heat/humidity of the day.

**For you dogs, try talking your humans into building a dog house with an a/c unit built in. Especiall for you dogs who are not allowed in the humans' house. If that doe not work, try getting them to buy one of those hard plastic children's play pool. Have them fill it with cool water and start splashing away for fun and to beat the summer heat.

There are plenty of tips out there to beat the heat and humidity. Follow these I mentioned above and your veterinarians' advice as well to have a fun-filled summer with your humans. Gotto go- hear the can opener at work. Bye.
